HW #17

  • How could you apply what you learned in class to situations in your own life?

I learned many things in class about cyber-bullying that I can apply to situations in my life. If I notice that someone is being cyber-bullied, I will not just be a bystander and watch someone be bullied. I know the consequences it has on someones life and I will not let that happen. Cyber-bullying leads to depression and even suicide. I will do everything I can to prevent cyber-bullying and help anyone who is being bullied.

  • Have you ever witnessed cyber-bullying and not gotten involved but later wished you had?  If so, what prevented you from taking action?  What might you do differently if it happened again?

I have witnessed cyber-bullying, and I did get involved. As soon as i noticed that the person was being bullied, I immediately stepped in and stood up for my friend who was being bullied. I will continue to do that if I ever see someone being bullied.

  • Why is it important to take action to de-escalate online cruelty whenever you witness it?

It is important to take action to de-escalate online cruelty whenever you witness it because if the situation is not de-escalated, it will only get worse. This could eventually lead to tragic situations.
